My most recent book was published in February 2016. The title is "Blue Tears: This is the struggle for the soul of a police department." This is a fictionalized version of actual events that took place in the law enforcement community during my law enforcement career. It is an emotional review of how the most ethical officers in police agencies often endure significant stress in their careers due to the poor ethics of other officers. It explains how important each level in the supervisory chain is to the overall reputation of the police agency.
In my earlier writing, I chose to write interesting stories with the natural world providing the background. My first book, "Under a Poacher's Moon" published in 2012, received an award from the Council of Wisconsin Writers in their outdoor writing category. In 2013 I added "Under a Poacher's Moon 2" which includes more true stories from my career as a Wisconsin Conservation Warden.
I have also added a collection of short stories titled, "Lessons in Life From the Potato Patch" in 2013 in which I share stories of my grandparents who lived their life in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin.
Both "Under a Poacher's Moon 2 and Lessons in Life From the Potato Patch" can be borrowed for free for Kindle prime users.
