Buddy Mewbourne

Buddy Mewbourne was born in 1936 in Birmingham, Alabama. He now enjoys lake life at Logan Martin Lake in Talladega County, Alabama.

Buddy was educated at Auburn University, and Faulkner University where he earned his bachelors degree.

Buddy has loved history all his life and it's no wonder that he decided to write stories that center around events in history. He's an avid reader about history and doing research about historical events is one of his hobbies. Travel is another passion and Buddy has been fortunate to combine his love of history and his love of travel. He's visited many war memorials in the U.S. and Europe.

Buddy has received several writing awards from Pell City Pens. In 2009 he was awarded Historian/Author of the Year by the Jefferson County Historical Society.
