My name is Chris McDaniel. I am a native of the Hoosier state. I have worked for many years in the field of zoology, animal control and wildlife management. Though these are just the basic facts of my everyday life, my more colorful side is being an active and true paranormal "die-hard".
When I began this strange and bizarre journey, I was much like the Cowardly Lion in the film "The Wizard of Oz". ("I do believe in spooks...I do, I do, I do")
To simplify it for you, I had a very nasty encounter with a malicious spirit. (don't believe in ghost?...hmmm...I didn't either.) This encounter sparked my interest within the paranormal field but left a bad taste in my mouth for ghost and hauntings. Being that I worked for the Indianapolis Zoo and had a strong appeal to the animal kingdom, I turned to something more along my lines of interest, I began researching/investigating claims of people seeing strange creatures. Unknowingly, I was working my way into the status of being titled a "Cryptozoologist". (Though I would never title myself as one.)
I slowly worked my way back into researching and investigating paranormal events. For one, I felt almost forced to do so...no matter how much I wanted to avoid ghost and hauntings, they always seemed to find me. (Gods honest truth) I couldn't get away from them. I felt as if I had opened pandora's box. After years of trying to understand it...I realized, I didn't choose the paranormal, it chose me.
I am a paranormal researcher/investigator. I research any strange and bizarre events or encounters including cryptid sightings. I have a much better understanding within the field than I did when I had my first ghostly encounter back in 1985. I have written a book, "Falling Down The Rabbit's Hole", which details some of my encounters and investigations. I have continued to write and looking forward to publishing more books within the future on the subject.
