Nadine Donovan

Picture book and middle grade author & illustrator Nadine Donovan is a firm believer in the adage, 'growing older is inevitable but growing up is optional', and still feels about 12.

As a child, she read every animal book she could find but when her mom bribed her into reading 'Anne of Green Gables' with the promise of a chocolate bar reward, she discovered people books could be wonderful, too. That led to Laura Ingalls, Roald Dahl, and The Great Brain series, all of which inform her writing today.

Nadine lives in enchanted Santa Fe, New Mexico, and writes and illustrates from her (usually) sun-drenched studio nestled among the trees.
