Outside of writing, he actively follows stock market trends, continues lifelong learning, and works in the management of social, environmental, and governance (ESG) risks of international development projects.
He holds an MBA from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. He also earned degrees in anthropology, including a PhD from American University and a master’s from the University of Maryland, College Park. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a judo black belt, and the holder of a commercial pilot certificate.
He is based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
