Mr. Timothy J Van Norman

My name is Tim Van Norman. My parents met in Bible School, so I grew up as a preacher’s kid. My family was always involved in food pantries, and helping people out in any way we could. In college, I began helping friends with their resumes. As a business owner, consultant, and employee; I have been responsible for hiring several people throughout my career.

For the past 6 years, I have lived in Orange County, and attended Calvary Community Church. In that time, the company I worked for was able to hire several people from the church, and I was able to help other people find positions. Two years ago, I was asked by our TLC (Transitional Living into Community) group to help their people who were having trouble finding jobs.

I have spent considerable time reading other books on Job Searches and Resumes and found them to be incomplete, boring/dry, or too dense for me to even get through. Since I was working with people from all walks of life and with varying education levels, I decided to take everything I had learned and put it together into one book.
