Danielle Schultz Dresden, M.Ed., CRC, is a nationally Certified Rehabilitation Counselor with 14 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities. Ms. Dresden has a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology. She has worked in numerous rehabilitation settings including workers' compensation and the Veterans Administration in both direct service and supervisory capacities. She has served many client populations including individuals with developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, blindness and low vision, deafness, mobility impairments, chronic pain, and mental illness. Throughout Ms. Dresden’s career, her focus has been on vocational rehabilitation services to assist people with disabilities in pursuit of gainful employment and economic self-sufficiency. These services include vocational assessments, disability management services to employers, consultation regarding on-the-job accommodations and assistive technology, job-seeking skills training, job development and placement interventions, and career maintenance services. Ms. Dresden has also worked closely with more than 200 employers to develop transitional work policies for their employees who are recovering from work-related and non-work-related injuries. She has also completed over 1,000 Job Analysis for employers as well as identifying modified tasks to assist an individual in a successful return to work after an injury. Ms. Dresden has also taught Disability Management courses in the Masters Vocational Rehabilitation Program at Kent State University. She has also served as a guest lecturer for various Vocational Rehabilitation classes at Kent State University for the past twelve years. Ms. Dresden also has a lifetime of personal experience of assisting a loved one with disabilities, her father was a Disabled Veteran. As his physical and mental capabilities decreased, Ms. Dresden moved her father into her home to take care of him full time for many years. Ms. Dresden also coordinated the eventual transition into a skilled nursing facility for her father and continued to oversee his care at this facility. Ms. Dresden has over 5 years of interacting and volunteering with the geriatric population in a skilled nursing facility environment.
