Boyd Craven Jr

Hi, I'm Boyd Craven Jr. I grew up in Grand Blanc, MI, USA, and I went to school there. I love to read, and I do so every day. Like many others, I always wanted to write my own book but had no idea where to begin or what was involved. I didn't know anyone to ask for advice, so I turned to reading books on writing and the self-publishing directions on KDP. ACK!

I went the non-fiction route in 2012, and was fortunate enough to achieve #1 bestseller with my first three titles in a genre there.

My son, Boyd Craven III, also a voracious reader, began learning the process too. He went the fiction route. Of course, we shared knowledge and details. His career really took off in 2015 with his The World Burns series. The difference in royalties was SO significant that I decided to switch to fiction also.

Now, I'm very proud to say that our oldest grandson, Keven Craven, Boyd3's oldest, is also a full-time author, joining his dad and grandpa in the best gig in the world!

Today, in 2026, I still write fiction, but I have discovered that I enjoy mentoring others who've always wanted to write their own book but had no idea where to begin or what's involved. It's been a very rewarding experience... for all of us. If you think you'd like to do the same, you should try it! There's nothing like it.
