I'm a middle-aged Devonian with a love for classic motorcycles, reading and writing. I like the escapism of a good fantasy novel, nothing too dark, but something that makes you think and challenges convention. If it makes me laugh as well, then so much the better.

I am a member of the Gumbee Fantasy Writers' Guild, a group of independent authors who all strive for quality fantasy fiction, some of which has a humorous bent.

I have had a wide variety of job over the years, mostly in mechanical engineering and welding. I quit my last job in November 2014 to write the second book in the Lyonnesse Tales series: Quest in Time, A Beginning, which is now also on Amazon. And after 18 months trying to prop up a market stall in a failing market, I was forced to get a proper job again, Now, I can be found up to my elbows in V12 and straight 6 engines or generally fixing other bits on E-type Jaguars.

I still think life is too complicated and people should be nicer to one another.
