Dr Christine Dunkley was born in Yorkshire, England in 1960 and worked for over 30 years in the UK National Health Service, first as a medical social worker and then a psychological therapist. She joined the British Isles Training Team for Dialectical Behaviour Therapy in 2006 and is now a consultant trainer. Her specialist subjects are emotional pain, suicidality, mindfulness and emotion regulation.
During lockdown Christine and her husband John went through a major upheaval. They sold their house, and their daughter Lucy and her husband did the same. Along with their other daughter Laura they all now occupy a big house in a small village in Hampshire. The aim of this project was to create a multi-generational living set-up, where the grandchildren Silver and Acer will be surrounded by people who love them and everyone can help each other. So far it is going well, although it is pretty full on, with two dogs also thrown into the mix.
