I'm a lucky guy, because I get to help Laura turn her notebooks (which are filled with Perdita Whacknoodle's thoughts and stories)into books.

This is a bit complicated, so I'll explain.

Perdita Whacknoodle is a black-and-white dog who somehow blasts her thoughts DIRECTLY into Laura's brain. No one knows how it works. Perdita calls it her "thought-particle transmission," and once Laura figured out that it was all REAL, and that her brain wasn't suffering from all this new dog-knowledge, well, she thought she should write everything down.

So, she has many notebooks filled with the thoughts, opinions, ideas, and stories from a dog. Of all things!

But Perdita Whacknoodle is not like any dog you've ever met. I promise you that.

For one thing, she's arrogant, and she is CONVINCED that she, Perdita, is the smartest and wisest dog in the entire world. She says she's the perfect puppy of the Whack family (who are the "more active dogs") and the Noodle family (who are "more thoughtful dogs.")

Perdita seems to have an endless supply of stories about her odd family, mostly about her outrageous outlaw-dog father, Par. Laura doubts that ANY of this is true . . . but she can't quite decide for sure. And she thinks that even if Perdita is making it all up, these are pretty amazing stories!

My job is simply to help turn all Laura's notebooks--which are FILLED with Perdita's tales and opinions--into books for you to enjoy. So, that's why I'm listed as the author. But, as you'll see, these stories could only come from a dog who sees the world differently.

Very differently!

Is Perdita nuts? Or is she very smart? Laura can't quite decide, and neither can I, so we hope you'll let us know what YOU think.
