Lloyd Albritton

Lloyd grew up in the rural farm and timber community of Nokomis, Florida. He and his wife, Anita Gwen, currently live in Atmore, Alabama, which is situated approximately five miles northeast of Nokomis. These southern locales are the setting for Lloyd's first novel, a fictional story of murder and family tragedy in the year of 1951. Lloyd has been a prolific storyteller and writer for most of his life. His stories are often constructed around the colorful "characters" he knew during his years in Nokomis.

Lloyd's second book is a compilation of short stories, many of them depicting his early life in Nokomis. More of the same colorful characters from Lloyd's past are featured in these stories. Some will bring a tear to your eye while others will make you laugh out loud.

Lloyd has made his second book especially interesting by including many of his favorite poems, mostly his own, but a few of his favorite poems by other authors are also included. You will find Lloyd's poems to be filled with lots of "back-porch" humor and wisdom.

Like Garrison Keillor and Will Rogers, Lloyd's storytelling ability translates well into the written word.
