Christina Rodriguez

Born overseas to a Mexican father and Korean mother, Christina Rodriguez lived the U.S. military family life while growing up on Air Force bases. Books and art supplies were the friends she could take with her on her moves. Christina later studied at the Rhode Island School of Design on scholarships and graduated with a BFA in illustration.

Children’s books she has illustrated have been honored by Foreword Magazine, the Northeastern MN Book Awards, the Mom’s Choice Awards, the Tejas Star Reading List, and the Midwest Booksellers Association. Her artwork can be found in the permanent collection of the Children’s Literature Research Collections in Minneapolis, MN.

Christina currently lives in Pacific Grove, CA with her husband and pets. When not in her studio, she can be found somewhere along the Monterey Bay Coastal Recreation Trail walking her dog, sketching, fishing, tidepooling, or reading a good book.
