Srini Koushik has spent more than 35 years leading technology, transformation, and innovation inside large organizations. He has run technology at enterprise scale, built teams and capabilities from nothing, and watched closely what happens when new technology meets established human habit.
He has held senior executive roles including CIO, CTO, and President of AI at IBM, Nationwide, Magellan Health, and Rackspace Technology. At Rackspace he led one of the industry's first dedicated enterprise AI business units. He is an inductee of the CIO Hall of Fame, a three-time CIO of the Year, a two-time IBM Distinguished Engineer, and a member of the IBM Academy of Technology. As an entrepreneur, he founded and exited a machine learning company that supplied security threat intelligence to global organizations. More recently, he has been named one of the AI 25 leaders that is shaping the Ohio economy and named a Top 10 leader in AI and Agentic AI by Thinkers360.
Today he is Founder and CEO of Right Brain Labs, and Senior Lecturer and Executive Advisor for AI Fluency at The Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business. Through Right Brain Labs he helps leaders and their teams build AI Fluency as a practiced human capability rather than a one-time training event. No organization can reimagine its business until the people inside it learn to think with AI for themselves. His argument is direct. The greatest risk from AI is not that the technology gets smarter. It is that people get less deliberate in the presence of intelligence. He calls that risk the Cognitive Rust Belt, and he has built a company and a curriculum around preventing it.
His book, Thinking with AI: The Leadership Discipline for the Age of AI, will be published by Palmetto Publishing in September 2026.
Srini holds a master's degree in computer science from the University of Mumbai and an MBA from The Ohio State University, with executive education at MIT and Stanford.
