Paul M. Vander Loos

Paul is a freelance editor and author living in Mackay on the central Queensland coast of Australia. He founded the Mackay Writers group and was on the foundation team for the first Mackay Festival of Arts. He first fell in love with fantasy works reading Tolkien's The Hobbit, and later Lord of the Rings. He grew up in Brisbane and later moved with his parents to Hervey Bay. He completed a BA Degree majoring in Journalism in Toowoomba before gaining a job in Mackay as a reporter. He worked for the local newspaper for almost 30 years before taking up freelancing as an editor.
