       Melissa is the author of 15 books with many bestsellers. Her book, "Networking is Dead: Creating Connections that Matter," was a "Wall Street Journal" and Barnes and Noble bestseller, and her book, Networlding, was a #10 book on Amazon for an entire year. Melissa's most recent book is "Making Your Net Work: Mastering the Art and Science of Career and Business Networking," with co-author, Billy Dexter,  a partner at Heidrick and Struggles, a leading search firm. Billy and Melissa share a commitment to helping new adults get better starts in their careers and lives. To this end, she recently launched her nonprofit, sparkstart.org, that ignites the power of great books with great mentoring!"

     Melissa started Networlding Publishing, a ghostwriting and book marketing firm because her top value is “making a difference.” To this end, Melissa assists "make-a-difference" authors in writing, publishing, and marketing their books. Her clients have included the head of diversity for Hewitt, the president of Holland Cruise Lines, the head of a division of Allstate, the head of HR for the NBA, a seven-time Inc. 500 entrepreneur and thought leaders from small and mid-sized companies around the world.

     Melissa has also been a guest on dozens of radio shows and television, including The Today Show, CNN, WGN, and CNBC,. Additionally, one of her books was featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show. She is a frequent speaker and a winner of a Consummate Speaker of the Year Award. The University of Chicago Women's Business Graduate Advisory Board chose her as one of six extraordinary women of the year. Her program, Networlding, was also licensed by Yale University.

"The Journey" marks Melissa's fiction debut—a heartfelt travel romance that follows Claire Marin as she confronts her deepest fears and finds love while traveling the iconic Route 66. This novel combines Melissa's passion for personal transformation with her talent for storytelling, creating a compelling narrative about courage, trust, and discovering oneself in unexpected places.
