Ffion Jones

Dr Ffion Jones is a children’s author and illustrator based in Mumbles, Swansea, specialising in children’s mental health and emotional wellbeing. She holds a Doctorate in English Literature from the University of Wales, Bangor, and has been writing and illustrating wellbeing books for children for over 20 years.

Alongside her publishing work, Dr Jones works in schools as a wellbeing practitioner and anti-bullying trainer. She is the founder and director of Mind Chapters, a story-based wellbeing programme that helps children explore emotions, build resilience, and develop self-awareness through imaginative storytelling and guided discussion.

She is also co-director, author, and illustrator of the Nurse Ted series of books, which support families affected by cancer or terminal illness by helping adults explain diagnosis and treatment to children in a sensitive, age-appropriate way.
