Jodie Clark

Jodie Clark is a linguist at Sheffield Hallam University and the author of two academic books with Palgrave Macmillan (Language, Sex and Social Structure and Selves, Bodies and the Grammar of Social Worlds).

Her fiction explores characters who discover (or fail to discover) how intimacy is embedded in the structure of language. The idea at the heart of all her work, both scholarly and creative, is that when people inhabit language, it transforms them.
