Alan Cameron Wills

I've been a developer, architect and writer since joining Microsoft in 2004. In my current role, I write about testing, UML, and development process. Mostly it's MSDN Library material, but sometimes articles, books, and the occasional storyboard for a cartoon strip.

Before joining Microsoft, I was a consultant in much the same subject areas. My PhD thesis in 1990 was about using math to verify programs. Stretching even further back, I started out as a designer of logic hardware after my Physics degree.

I still enjoy messing with chips and wires. I love the creativity of making software and hardware do interesting things, and I hope to do more to show that fun to kids.

I work from home on the Pembrokeshire coast near Cardigan.
