Comic books have had a profound impact on me (not just when it comes to reading, but in life as well). Superheroes are awesome, and I still hope to someday wake up with powers. I grew up in good ol' Weedsport, NY, and I currently reside in Auburn, NY where I teach at the elementary level. I earned my master's degree in inclusive childhood education and special education at Le Moyne college in Syracuse, NY. I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology and criminal justice at Fredonia State University in Fredonia, NY. I've always loved stories, and writing has been a passion of mine since early childhood.

I love all sports and I enjoy working out. Health is of the utmost importance! My favorite football teams are the the Weedsport Warriors, the Auburn Maroons, the Syracuse Orange, and the Buffalo Bills. My favorite basketball teams are the Weedsport Warriors, the Auburn Maroons, the Syracuse Orange, and the New York Knicks. Tennis is a blast! I love nature and animals. Hiking is one of my favorite past times, and I love doing so in the Adirondack Mountains. I recently got a beautiful new roommate - Princess Sophie(kitty).

I've been reading A Song of Ice and Fire Books, and they rock. Game of Thrones on HBO is phenomenal, and True Blood is equally as cool. My favorite tv shows are New Girl, Family Guy, and The Office. Seth MacFarlane is incredible. Zach Galifianakis is hilarious. Robert Downey Jr. is the man.

Growing up, I very much enjoyed children's books such as Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Winnie the Pooh, Green Eggs and Ham,The Cat in the Hat, and the Berenstain Bears. The wonderful 4th grade teacher with whom I did some of my student teaching gave me the book: Oh, the Places You'll Go as a parting gift. It's the perfect book for self-motivation. Just as they say at Genesee Elementary in Auburn, NY - there are no excuses. Smile, laugh, work hard and have fun doing it, and anywhere - you can go(Yoda talk)!
