Christopher P Bartlett

Christopher P Bartlett has been writing stories since childhood, but it was with his breakthrough novel, ‘Rendeth’, that he first achieved international prominence, attracting a cult following in such far-flung locations as Colombo, Sri Lanka and Raleigh, North Carolina.

Following on from a sequence of seven fantasy novels in the 'Rebirth - the Chronicles of Elladon' setting, Bartlett subsequently turned his hand to science-fiction with the espionage thriller 'Hydaera'.

More recent works set in an alternative Earth milieu have included science-government satire (A Weakness of Nerds), globe-spanning revenge thrillers (The Polack and the Samurai, with Scott Ringenbach), a poignant collection of short stories (The Eight Orbs of Darkness) and, more recently, 'The Sworn Patriot Brotherhood,' representing the first volume in a new series entitled 'The Utopian States of America.' The most recent work published is a new collection of short stories, 'Tales from the Dreamscape.'

Originally hailing from Wells in Somerset, Bartlett has spent time living, working and studying in Britain, the United States, Japan and Sri Lanka. When not working as a school teacher, he enjoys travelling, taking in films at the cinema, being in the countryside and, above all, creating new stories in myriad genres.
