Donna Marie Naval was born on 2nd of July 1989 at Makati City, Philippines.
At a very young age, her family had seen her fondness on illustrating different figures and images. From humans, animals, cars and anything that catches her attention. During her primary and secondary years, she practiced manual drawings of human and fauna figures inspired by Japanese Animation and collaborating this with different rendering medium. Enhancing her talent, she had joined various school arts competition, and mostly brought home the bacon. And the turning point of discovering her career path was the creation of various self written and illustrated comic books that she sold to her friends. These made the way for her to seek deeper knowledge and skills training in creative arts and all aspect that comes with it.
To learn the fundamentals as she continues her passion, she studied and graduated with the Degree of Digital Arts Major in Animation at University of Makati. It is where she had learnt creative arts in a more vivid and specific nature – from manual illustration to digital media. She unfolded more of her creative side as she stride to build her own distinctiveness.
As Donna, further pursue her career, she had joined Toon City as a training background wherein she worked as Clean-Up/ In Between (CU/IB) for “George” and “Geronimo Stilton” which was aired in Disney Channel (2009). Following this, she transferred to Philippine Animation Studio Inc. (PASI) as a subsidiary of Philiipine Animators Group Inc,. (PAGI) . Working as a Scene and Character Builder – She primarily creates the library of the characters and props using Flash Animation. Part of her project was seen on “Producing Parker”(2011) aired in Canada and “Groove High”(2012) aired in Disney Channel. Chasing a path of artistry, she now works as a freelance artist. A children’s book illustrator to Ms. Sybrina Durant’s How to Tie a Tie with the Rabbit and the Fox (2012).
