Alex Lehr

Alex Lehr, born in Daytona Beach, Fla. in 1983 is a disabled adult who currently resides in Tallahassee, Fl. He is the author of Prayer of the Laughing Yoga Frog: The Story of a Professor, a Frog, and a Very Wise Man. This book, co-authored by Melissa Soldani Lemon recounts some events in Alex's life while attending college. Soldani Lemon, who has also authored many other books, is one of Mr. Lehr's professors.

Alex is an active self-advocate, working hard to improve his quality of life as well as that of all disabled adults. His quest to complete his college degree is grounded in his desire to become a self-supporting adult who no longer relies on government assistance. However, this task is more difficult than one would imagine, with many daily roadblocks.
