Ken Kristensen

Ken Kristensen is an American writer and producer of film, television, comic books, and journalism. He is most well known for writing episodes of the television series' The Punisher (Netflix/Marvel) and Happy! (SyFy) and authoring comic book series published by Image Comics, IDW Publishing, Adaptive Books, and Dark Horse Comics.

Known for both comedy and drama, in interviews he has cited several key experiences that have shaped his writing: "spending time in jail, unwittingly joining a doomsday cult, almost drowning in the Mexican pipeline, and sewing myself up with green mint dental floss in the Zimbabwe outback."

He won the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences' Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting. He has developed film and TV projects for HBO, Marvel, Netflix, Universal Cable Productions, SyFy, FX, Participant Media, A&E, Paramount Network, etc.

He and his frequent collaborator M.K. Perker co-created the hit comic book series TODD, THE UGLIEST KID ON EARTH, published by Image Comics (The Walking Dead) and FAIRY GODBROTHERS, a graphic novel published by Adaptive Books. His work also includes the IDW/Darby Pop superhero comedy INDESTRUCTIBLE and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Michael Chabon's The Adventures of Kavalier and Clay spinoff graphic novel series THE AMAZING ADVENTURES OF THE ESCAPIST, published by Dark Horse Comics.

Kristensen's journalism has been published by National Geographic, Conde Nast, and Hearst.

Kristensen is a member of the Writers Guild of America, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, The Animation Guild, and the Producers Guild of America.
