Eileen Umbehr

Eileen Umbehr was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and grew up primarily in Hudson, Wisconsin. At the age of 15, her father's job with 3M took the family to Singapore where she would meet her future husband, Keen A. Umbehr. In 1979, they moved to Kansas where they they raised four sons. They celebrated their 46th anniversary in 2024 and they now have three daughters-in-law and ten grandchildren.

Eileen's first book, Small Town Showdown, was self-published in 2007. In 2008, she received a Silver Medal designation in the Axiom Business Book Award and an Honorable Mention in the Kansas Professional Communicators contest. Eileen was also the recipient of the 2009 Ferguson Kansas History Book Award.
