Korrel Kanoy

Korrel Kanoy, born in 1955 in small-town Bassett, VA earned her college degree in psychology from the University of Richmond, and went on to earn her master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Tennessee. A college professor for over 30 years, she has taught courses such as adult development, child development, general psychology, and emotional intelligence. As both a faculty member and former Dean of Academic Affairs, Korrel has a long history of collaborating with faculty and student development professionals to design curricula and programs that enhance student success. Korrel also enjoys educating parents about children's development and recently fulfilled a long-time dream to write a chidren's book, Annie's Lost Hat.

Korrel enjoys training others and offers EQi Certification Workshops and a variety of programs for faculty and staff development.

Korrel spends her leisure time interacting with family and friends, reading, exercising, and spending time at the lake or beach.
