Claudine Kurp

Claudine was motivated to start her first website DC Metro Mommy after the birth of her first daughter. Frustrated by the lack of local parenting resources for new mothers, she spent months curating a list of 4,000 vendors and created a guide and blog for local parents. After writing over 700 blogs and co-founding DC Metro Mom, a book was the next step in the journey to help families in the area.

In a prior life, Claudine worked in Corporate America for 15 years. She often jokes that although there are similarities, executives are far easier to deal with than toddlers. She spends her time with her family and continues to discover new and wonderful things about the DC Metro area that she faithfully reports back to readers. She lives in Fairfax County, Virginia, with her two daughters and husband.
