John has a broad background of experiences, covering a twenty year Army career as a combat arms soldier, having served in Europe, Asia and many parts of the USA, with a combat tour in Viet Nam. He has owned his own businesses and has worked in numerous fields including the newspaper business and the postal service as well as sales and as a training specialist for the military. He quit high school to join the Army, but on the guiding advice of his high school councilor he never stopped pursuing education and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Business and had a 4.0 average in pursuit of his MBA when he decided time with his family was more important than a degree. He has met people at many levels of influence from presidents on down and has served in assignments of interest that exposed him to some of histories greatest events. His greatest pleasures are his time with Patsy, his wife of over forty years and time with his grandsons, and especially his two great grand daughters. In his own words, "I always expected to be a grand father, but never imagined the pleasure of being a great grand father!" Every day is a new adventure and a great pleasure, and writing this book was a way to give that joy to others.
