I work in the history section at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. I'm an expert in twentieth-century French and European history, especially in political violence and terrorism, fascism, veterans of the Great War, the French Third Republic and Vichy France. When not immersed in history, I run, swim, and I'm a dad of two.
