Frank N. Thomas, PhD is Professor Emeritus of Counseling and Counselor Education at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. He has authored, coauthored, or coedited five books, including "Solution-Focused Supervision: A Resource-Oriented Approach to Developing Expertise," "Masters of Narrative and Collaborative Therapy," "Handbook of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy," "Tales from Family Therapy," and "Competency-Based Counseling." Frank received the Distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award from the Louisiana Association for Marriage and Family Therapy in 2010 and has been nominated for both the Deans' Teaching and the Deans' Research and Creativity Awards at TCU. Lynn Hoffman once said of Frank, "You are a good, dear friend, a born teacher and storyteller -- one of my favorite deep comedians and a great soul." A practicing psychotherapist for over thirty-five years, Frank is also an internationally-published amateur photographer and aikido sensei.
