Doris Arend

Doris Arend was born in Bremen. After training as an office administrator, she worked for three years in a freight forwarding company in Bremen, lived in Solihull/England and in Lausanne/Switzerland as an au pair, worked in a pub in St. Albans/England, flew around the world as a flight attendant and worked in a bookstore. She has loved books and stories since childhood. Her first children's book for beginning readers was published in 1999. When Doris Arend is not sitting at her desk making up stories, she gives writing workshops for children and adults. Doris Arend lives near Frankfurt am Main.
