Elizabeth Eowyn Nelson, Ph.D. has served on the faculty of Pacifica Graduate Institute since 2003. Pacifica’s vision, to tend the soul in individuals, communities, and the world, is one Dr. Nelson takes seriously and incorporates in all of her professional work, which includes teaching, research, writing, and consulting. She is an international speaker who has contributed numerous essays to academic journals and chapters to edited books, and is the editor of the Jungian Journal of Somatic Studies.
Dr. Nelson’s books include Psyche’s Knife (Chiron, 2012) and The Art of Inquiry, 3rd Edition (Spring Publications, 2017), coauthored with Joseph Coppin, and The Art of Jungian Couple Therapy (Routledge, 2025), coauthored with Anthony Delmedico. She has been a professional writer and editor for more than 30 years, coaching aspiring authors across a variety of genres and styles.
