Lenard Roach was born in Olathe, Kansas on April 5th, 1963, to Rose and Roger Roach. At 13, he entered the world of stand up comedy by performing at many schools, churches, luncheons, and, as an adult, comedy clubs. By 1983 he married the love of his life, Alana Evans-Scurlock, and their first son, Robert was born to them in 1984. Lenard resigned from stand up comedy in 1984 to pursue life as a family man. In 1992, Gabriel was born and added to the completeness of the Roach family. In 1995, Lenard was introduced to, and became an avid fan of, the Commodore 64 computer, thus launching him into a freelance career of writing and programming for the machine, getting published in many newsletters, magazines, and disc-zenes locally, nationally, and internationally. Challenged by his loving spouse, Lenard stepped back into the comedy world in 2000, but this time as a writer of material for children. "Skits For 2nd Hand Puppets" was a result of those early attempts, but before its publication in 2012, Lenard put his hand to writing by creating the compilation book about his adventures with the Commodore computer entitled, "Run/Stop-Restore: 10th Anniversary Edition," available from Amazon.com and Authorhouse.com. Lenard currently resides in Kansas City, Kansas with four lazy cats and a stock Commodore 128 computer.
