Sandra Principe

From the Author: I grew up in Wisconsin and lived in Chicago for 20 years where I was an attorney. Now I live, write and paint in the countryside outside Galena, Illinois. I've always loved reading and writing. As time went by, I realized that what I really wanted to do was write creatively and paint. So I moved to Galena and have been here happily writing and painting for the past 15 years.

I have written 6 mystery novels in the Galena Mystery Series (MURDER IN GALENA, MURDER ON THE MISSISSIPPI, MURDER AT GALENA STABLES, MURDER AT GALENA GALLERY, MURDER AT GALENA MANSION AND MURDER AT GALENA CAFE.) My heroine, Karen Prince, and I have similar backgrounds but she is much younger, braver and definately more adventurous. I weave information about the Galena area as well as about painting into each mystery.

I enjoy travel and so I have my heroine travel in each book as well. There is also a recurring character, Bella, who is a chef so there are some good recipes at the back of each of the last five books. In short, these books are a mix of my favorite things wrapped in a good old fashioned cozy mystery. I hope you enjoy them!
