Mr. Thomas E. Mall

Thomas Mall has been active in theater from childhood in Community Theater, radio, summer stock at Peninsula Players, Fish Creek, WI and Pasadena Playhouse before garnering a B.A. in Speech & Dramatic Arts from the U. Iowa. At U. Bristol, England he worked with the Old Vic Theater Trust designing for the Bristol Shakespeare Festival and received his M.A. in Drama specializing in Theater Costume Design. His research on the costumes in the Commedia dell' Arte necessitated work at European Museums, private collections to complete his dissertation of primary research in the field. Besides heading theater costume departments, he continued academic work receiving an MCPSW from the U. Maryhland. Combining his theater experience with psychiatric social work, Mr. Mall developed a group therapy program of Sensory Stimulation for the mentally challenged that he used in nursing homes and government programs serving clients with mental and physical challenges. He continues to work in theater and with psychiatric clients while retired.
