Angela Bell Julien

Angela Bell Julien has consulted in schools from Hawaii to Delaware, working with educators, helping them see the beauty and brilliance of shaping young minds. The Instructional Handbook (2023) is a compilation of experiences she and her colleagues have garnered. The book is a "one-stop-shop" for coaching strategies to aid in the endeavor of improving learning for all children. At the same time, Angela has built a reservoir of images attached to emotions. From childhood, she has written poetry to express how her mind configures those thoughts. In adulthood, the images in her brain burst into color on canvas. Angela’s paintings mix realism with emotion, putting shape to feelings and ideas. In 2013, her first book of painting and poetry, Blooms and the Bard: Painted Sonnets was published. Trees don’t Rush followed in 2017, and in Moments from the Side Yard in 2020. Her books of poetry offer journal prompts and a place for the reader to interact with the poetry and art by writing their own stories.
