Carrie Knowles

Carrie is a storyteller, author and arts advocate with a passport the size of a library. As a freelance writer of 45 years, Carrie has published more than 50 short works, four novels and hundreds of newspaper and magazine articles, work that has earned 25 literary awards. She is a six-time finalist in Glimmer Train competitions as well as the 2014 North Carolina Piedmont Laureate. Carrie writes a regular column for Psychology Today, “Shifting Forward: A Wanderer’s Musings.”

Carrie holds extensive experience writing for magazines, newspapers and literary journals. When not traveling the globe, she mentors aspiring authors.
