Susie Weber

Susie Weber learned in 1987 that she had Multiple Sclerosis (MS); and she’s convinced that the disease has made her stronger and has motivated her to live life to the fullest…which is exactly what she does daily. Her turn-of-the-century farmhouse in Jackson, Wisconsin overflows with laughter and activity generated by her three awesome children Austin, Rachel and Joshua, her two dogs Macy and Tanzi, and her incredibly supportive husband of 26 years, Terry. Susie also keeps busy with Weber Design Inc., through which her graphic design and illustrations have earned numerous awards and recognitions for her clients worldwide. And, in her “spare” time, she volunteers for the National MS Society, advocates for other causes close to her heart like autism, juvenile diabetes, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Pulmonary fibrosis and breast cancer. She also enjoys distance running and has new interest in creating concrete mosaic sculptures. Susie dedicates her chapter of More than a Mountain to her father, John Hinrichs, who recently passed away due to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and the many individuals who have shown her how to be brave and taught her to believe that everything is possible.
