Dixie Gillaspie

DIXIE GILLASPIE has been called a muse, a firestarter, and a blast through artist, but most people who know her just call her "Dynamite," a nickname she acquired in the second grade.

She is the author of Just Blow it Up - Firepower for Living an Unlimited Life and a companion book, Doses of Dynamite - Firepower for Capturing the Inspiration in Everyday Things. She is also a contributing author, along with Dr. Christian Guenette, Gillian Laura Roberts, Dr. Bernie Seigal, and others, to The Thought That Changed My Life Forever.

Her success stories have been featured in books such as Go-Givers Sell More, by Bob Burg and John David Mann, and The Referral Engine, by John Jantsch of Duct Tape Marketing.

In her words, she has been a coach, business consultant and analyst, a change agent, and a general trouble-shooter to entrepreneurs and business leaders for more years than she is willing to admit. (But she'll probably tell you if you ask nice.)

Dixie considers herself more of a "story teller" than a speaker, but she's shared the stage with the likes of Zig Zigler, Bob Burg, John David Mann, Scott Ginsberg, Mark Sanborn, and Southwest Airlines President Emerita, Coleen Barrett.

She's allergic to the word "CAN'T" and her Blast Thru Coaching(TM) method is a process for challenging, even eliminating, that word from your vocabulary.

Dixie was raised in Southeast Kansas as an only child, her two siblings were nearly grown when she was born. Her parents were members of a fundamental church with strict guidelines for behavior and dress, and no tolerance for radio, TV or other cultural influences of the time. So Dixie heard "can't" a lot. But she was allowed free rein of the library and the rural two-room schoolhouse. She learned to recognize words before she was five, and spent her childhood devouring stories. That love of story, and the ability to find the lessons and gifts in every tale, comes out in her own style of storytelling.

Dixie still lives in the Midwest, still devours books, and still loves to share the lessons and gifts she finds in everyday occurrences and the stories that play out within us and around us if we only learn to pay attention.
