Ali Matthew Monadjem

Ex-McKinsey & Company management consultant, medical doctor, Board member and social start-up addict, Dr. Ali Matthew Monadjem was born in 1976 in Germany to a Persian physician father and an American teacher mother.

He has experienced living and working in Europe, the United States and Sub-Saharan Africa, and graduated with a medical degree from the University of Cape Town in 2003.

He worked as a rural and emergency response doctor and paramedic academy lecturer. After this he graduated with an MBA, earning a Class Gold Medal for Distinction, from UCT's Graduate School of Business, an emerging market Financial Times Global Top 50 graduate school, in 2006.

He worked with McKinsey & Company from 2007 to 2010, first as an associate consultant and then as an engagement manager focused on strategy and organizational effectiveness. Here he also aired a passion for knowledge-based empowerment by running ongoing recruiting and consultant training sessions, further giving lectures at various business schools.

He is a Director at Accompany Advisory, a firm focused on business and leadership effectiveness. He also co-founded an emerging market mobile sector social enterprise and holds various start-up and public entity Board advisory positions.
