Erika Thulin Dawes

Erika Thulin Dawes is Associate Professor of Language and Literacy at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA, where she teaches courses in children’s literature and the teaching of reading and writing. Drawing upon her experiences as a classroom teacher, Reading Specialist, and Literacy Supervisor, she believes in making theory accessible to practicing educators. Erika’s scholarly interests include emergent literacy, content area literacies, and methods for teaching with children’s literature.
