K D Blakely grew up in Southern California, only a few miles from Venice Beach and Santa Monica, but now lives in Northern California with two cats: Girly Girl, the original scaredy-cat, and OhNo, a very innocent looking cat who is actually the queen of cat-tastrophies - proving you can't judge a book by its cover. OhNo started dark grey for 6 months, turned pure black for the next six years and is now turning sable brown.

K D Blakely wanted to be a writer since turning seven years old and is thrilled to have finally realized that dream!
