C. Claire Law is a nationally known college admission and financial aid expert. She wrote “How to Control Your College Costs” with the goal of helping families better afford the costs of college, navigate college financial aid, and include affordability in the selection process.
Prior to starting her private practice “Educational Avenues” consulting in 1999 in E. Greenwich, RI, she worked in admissions at Carleton University, The Art Institutes, Bryant University, and AMS-Education Loan Trust, a Sallie Mae Lender under the FFEL Program.
Her work experience fueled her passion for providing the consumers of higher education with the tools they needed to make rational, logical, facts-based decisions.
Claire served on the board of NCAGOonline.org from 2010 to 2019, is the co-chair of the IECA college affordability subcommittee, and is an instructor at the University of California-Irvine, where she created the content for the course “Navigating the Financial Aid Network.”
Claire works with students of all levels of academic achievement and family income. She has written many articles about college financial aid and is the co-author of “Find the Perfect College For You,” an analysis of MBTI personality type at 82 nationally-known colleges.
