Aileen was born a middle child who avoided conflict with her siblings by playing with her dolls and spent most of her time day-dreaming or just making up crazy stories. On numerous occasions her teachers and parents told her that an overactive imagination would get her nowhere in life. In 2004 Aileen came up with her first story of a girl and her friendship with a young fairy in Secrets of the Sycamore. Not long after her four book series, The Pharian Chronicles was created. Over the years a small eclectic library of children through young adult titles have been created with many more waiting to be written.
