Douglas Doman

As the Founder and the Chairman of Doman International Institute, Douglas Doman is a primary teacher of parents, and author of The Doman Method®: From Special Needs to Wellness; Answering Autism: The Doman Method® Plan for Autism, ADD and Neurodevelopmental Delays, and From Immobility to Walking: The Doman Method Plan to Teach a Special Needs Child to Walk and Run. These are some of the books of the Doman Method Series. His books Fit Baby, Smart Baby, Your Baby!, and How To Teach Your Baby To Swim are part of the Gentle Revolution Series of books which includes the principal books written by Glenn Doman for the development of well babies.

Douglas is the world's foremost expert on childhood mobility. He has worked with thousands of families to help their children with special needs for more than five decades, and has lectured to professionals and parents in over 40 countries around the world.

As the son of Katie and Glenn Doman, the Founder of the Doman Method, and pioneer in the field of Child Brain Development, Douglas works to expand his father's legacy and the work of Doman International around the world.

Douglas’ wife, Rosalind Doman, is the Clinical Director of Doman International. Douglas says she knows more about mobility development of children than he does. Their family consists of their children—Marlowe and Colleen, Spencer and Melissa, Morgan, and Noah—and their three grandchildren, Jackson, Parker, and Chloe.

When Douglas is not writing, lecturing, or being a guest on worldwide podcasts, he is spending time face-to-face with families of kids with brain injury at Doman International centers in Philadelphia, Italy, India, the Balkans, Russia, and New Zealand.
