Michael Hill

Michael Hill is currently at work on a book titled, “Harvard Boys,” the true story of the lives of five extraordinary characters as they navigate – both personally and professionally – many of the most important political, social, military, and cultural events of the twentieth century. The cast of characters in this drama include: Revolutionary John Reed, author of "Ten Days That Shook The World," the definitive eyewitness account of the Russian Revolution in 1917; columnist Walter Lippmann, considered by many one of the most influential journalists of the twentieth century; poet Alan Seeger, whose heroic service and death in World War I inspired one of the greatest war poems of the twentieth century, “I Have a Rendezvous With Death;” Ernst “Putzi” Hanfstaengl, Adolph Hitler’s favorite piano player and an early architect of De Fuhrer’s brutal rise to power; and finally Waldo Peirce, the colorful, unpredictable artist, and close companion of Ernest Hemingway, who eventually became known as “America’s Renoir.”
