Gerald Johnson

Gerald R Johnson has been a writer from an early age, and it began with his love of ready that his parents instilled in him at about 3 years old. He was pretty much a loner kid with his imagination as his best friend and thus he began writing down his mental adventures just for fun. Fantasy stories were his primary genre of choice because it would allow him to disappear not only from the modern but he could become anything from a knight to a barbarian to a wizard in any manner of city in worlds none have ever dreamed of but him. He wrote his first complete novel when he was around 16, and yet it went no where because the story became too similar to a story he’d been introduced to after completing his story. But… he was hooked. His English teachers in high school recognized his talents to weave tales with his words and pushed him to reach higher with his composition content and kept him enthusiastic about writing more.

Because of his wonderment with writing, Gerald hasn’t donned the cloak of writing in just one genre, but with this current series he has opted to stay in the Urban Literature/Drama genre. The Tainted series is based out of his home state of Florida and in his backyard in the Tampa Bay area. He has used some well known areas in Tampa that he is familiar with to keep the story not only flowing but familiar to those who live in the area. He thought was to bring the urban genre to the South and to take it out of the streets and give it a bit more of a dramatic flare. He wanted something different and believes in the mantra…

“If you want to read something different… then write it.”

For Gerald this is just the beginning. He is looking forward to entertaining people with his writing for years to come.
