Beon Besott

Beon Besot (pseudonym) was born in a small town in Iowa. He is a family physician, currently residing in North Texas.

After graduating from high school, he entered the U.S. Navy where he became part of the Naval Communications Group. With a Top Secret, Code Word clearance, he worked at the Naval Security Station in Washington D.C. until his discharge. During that time, he was privileged to work with the various forms of cryptographic equipment which were being used in secure Naval communications. This was before the advent of the internet and instant electronic encryption-decryption devices. Cryptographic equipment of that time used what was thought to be very sophisticated electronic equipment with exotic Greek names. The keys to these devices were distributed in Top Secret packets to the various stations around the world for simultaneous use during encrypted communications.

Upon discharge from the service, he worked his way thru college earning degrees in chemistry and mathematics. On graduation from Mankato State University (MSU) in Mankato, Minnesota, he traveled to Mexico where he taught chemistry and mathematics at the Colegio Americano in Mexico City. He met his future wife in Mexico, got married and started a family.

They both earned their Master's degrees at MSU, he in chemistry and she in education, and for a few years he taught high school physics and chemistry. Eventually, with his wife and two children he moved to South Texas where he worked as a supervisor in an analytical chemistry laboratory. After several years working in South Texas he entered medical school.

He has been a family physician for over 20 years.
