I've made a living breaking horses, road tripped with a professional bull rider and once lost everything in a Ponzi scheme long before Bernie Madoff was a household name. I was co-valedictorian of my high school class, voted Most Likely to Succeed and have performed as a professional stand-up comic. As a result, I incorporate humor into even the darkest prose.
At the age of 44, I sold my lucrative business for the all-in risk of starting a writing career. Since then I've completed six novels—the first five under the guidance of an editor whose spot-on advice after my first was to “keep writing.” After my fifth, she set me loose with the strategy to choose one title to self-publish and then start looking for an agent. That self-published novel, THE REVOLUTION OF CHARLOTTE SMITH, earned five solid stars on Amazon.
My sixth novel, an unpublished, psycho-sexual examination of human connection called GIGOLO, was developed under the guidance of a veteran, award-winning Los Angeles producer who intends to adapt it to film.
I’ve also written two screenplays. The first was an adaptation of THE REVOLUTION OF CHARLOTTE SMITH that was completed at the request of a Philadelphia producer. The other was an original comedy that was entered in a screenwriting contest organized by Emerging Screenwriters where it was called "A comedic version of THE FIGHTER.” I’ve also written 100+ articles/blogs on three different online platforms, many of which were shared on numerous sites including Philly.com, Bleacher Report, Technical.ly Philly and Generocity.
I'm ten years sober and have shared this experience on Abnormalmom.com.

I strive to be different but I’ve been called much worse.
