Gill Wyatt is the author of literary fiction books in the Family Saga genre. She has just released Then, Not Now, a gentle novel about bereavement. It follows the ups and downs of Ken Stanton highlighting difficulties with family relationships and the trials of getting back into some form of normal life and a purpose for living.
Gill has previously published The Aurora Trilogy. The first book in this series, Chasing the Wind, was published in 2012 and has been described as ‘poignant and compelling,’ ‘a good read with a challenging storyline,’ and ‘thought provoking.’
The books are heavily weighted towards human relationships and the arts and music which reflect Gill’s own interests. She is currently learning to play the folk harp. According to one review, ‘the evocation of folk music is convincing and poetic.’
Gill’s last employment was as a support worker with a local charity, County Community Projects, which sparked an even greater interest in the vulnerable and marginalised people within our society.
Gill does her own marketing, having previously completed a business course with The Business Kitchen. She is totally intrigued by the way a business works and has to remind herself that the writing needs to come first if she is to have anything to sell.
Gill has always enjoyed reading, and began writing many years ago as a means of catharsis.
Her favourite novelists are Jodi Picoult, because of the wonderful characterisation, and Brandon Sanderson, because of the sheer vibrancy of his imagination.
